Yinchuan demographic analysis and economy overview
Total population of Yinchuan (capital of Ningxia Hui
Autonomous Region) has grown from 1 million in 2001
to 1.5 million in 2007, reflecting a 50% growth over
the years. Approximately 25 diverse ethnic groups
live in the city including Hui, Han, Mongol, Manchu
and Chaoxian. The Hui make up of 28% of the total
population.
