The total amount of FDI used in China topped US$117.7 billion in 2011, a slight
decrease in comparison with the amount of 2010. Its total accumulated amount of FDI actually used by 2011 was
USD 1368 billion since 1979. China would utilize the foreign funds and promote service industry a key foreign investment attraction.
However, China still needs to continue on its improvement on its product and services’ quality and quantity even though it has been the largest
recipient of foreign investment among developing countries for 15 years. In the next years to come, China will channel its investment into research
and development centers, new high-tech industries, advanced manufacturing, and the energy conservation and environmentally friendly sectors.
