Total amount of foreign direct investment used in China by industry

 

One of the largest proportion of foreign direct investments in China is attributed to the Leasing and Business Services industry contributing 24%, subsequently, followed by Wholesale and Retail Trades which constitutes 16%. The largest portion is formed by numerous industries including Agriculture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry and Fishery, Mining, Construction, Scientific Research, Technical Service and Geologic Prospecting etc. summing to 27%. It’s predicted that there would be an increase in the proportion of Hotel and Catering Services as there is a growing demand for such services as China continues to develop.
