More than half of China’s exports comprise of
processing trade; another major proportion is made
up of conventional trade, while 5% is made up of
other trade patterns. However, two obvious trends
can be noted. Between the periods 2001 to 2007,
exports derived from processing trade are falling
from 55% to 51%. Conversely, exports derived from
conventional trade rise from 42% to 44%.
