Anhui Imports and Exports
Anhui has established trade relations with more than
200 countries and regions in the world. Total value
of import and exports of Anhui province on a upward
trend from US$ 2, 380 million in 1997 to US$15, 930
million in 2007, reflecting a 6.7 times growth over
a period of ten years. In 2005, the total value of
import and exports reached US$ 9, 120 million, thus,
ranking first in the mid-west of China.

Total value of imports of Anhui province has leaped
by 8.6 times from US$ 830 million in 1997 to US$
7,120 million in 2007. The province’s major imports
include: metal ore and metal waste material, special
industrial machinery etc. The main import sources
are derived from Chile, Australia, Japan and Peru.

Anhui’s total
value of exports has increased from US$ 1, 550 million in 1997 to US$ 8, 810
million in 2007, having a 5.7 times growth over the years. Major exports
includes: mechanical and electrical products, spinning and fabric and land
vehicles. The exporting value of Hefei, Wuhu and Ma’anshan ranks the top
three in Anhui province. In 2007, major export markets of the province are
US, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong.
