Ningxia Imports and Exports
Ningxia Autonomous Hui Region has established trade
and economic relations with over 115 countries and
regions in the world. Among the countries and
regions, Japan, Australia and US are the main
trading partner of the region. Total value of
Ningxia’s total imports and exports have climbed
from US$ 230 million in 1997 to US$ 1, 580 million
in 2007, representing a 7 times increase over a
period of ten years.

Total exports
value of Ningxia Autonomous Region has been on a rising trend from US$ 190
million In 1997 to US$ 1, 090 million in 2007, experiencing a 5.8 times
growth over the years. Major export items include ferrosilicon, magnesium,
tantalum products, cashmere, tires and high purity silver. In addition, the
exports of high-tech products constitute to a major portion of the total
exports, having a 33.1% share in the total provincial exports in 2005. The
region’s major export destinations are US, Japan and South Korea.
