China is the new number 2 U.S. trade partner in 2006,
having surpassed long-time North America Free Trade
Partner, Mexico. China's total trade's was USD 343
billion and it surged almost $58 billion in 2006,
outpacing Mexico's trade of $42 billion. Its trade
with U.S has increase of 20.18% from last year, thus
becoming first in the trade growth with U.S. as compared
to the rest of the countries. This is due to the increasingly
all-time high exports from China. In 2006, U.S. exports
from China amounts to USD 203.5 billion. Thus resulting
the biggest trade deficit. The U.S. deficit with China
was $233 billion, or 28 percent of the total deficit.
