Established in May 1952, China Council for the Promotion
of International Trade (CCPIT) comprises VIPS, enterprises and organizations
representing the economic and trade sectors in China. It is the most important
and the largest institution for the promotion of foreign trade in China.
The aims of the CCPIT are to operate and promote foreign trade, to use foreign
investment, to introduce advanced foreign technologies, to conduct activities of
Sino-foreign economic and technological cooperation in various forms, to promote
the development of economic and trade relations between China and other
countries and regions around the world, and to promote the mutual understanding
and friendship between China and peoples and economic and trade circles of all
nations around the world, in line with law and government policies of the
People’s Republic of China.
With the approval of the Chinese government, the CCPIT started to adopt a
separate name – China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC)- in 1988, which
is used simultaneously with the CCPIT. The CCPIT admits new members from among
enterprises in all parts of China and promotes trade through its functions of
information consultation, exhibition, legal assistance, etc.

China Enterprises Investment Association (CEIA) is a
national federation founded by Chinese economic specialists, scholars, social
leaders and entrepreneurs. The purpose of CEIA is to unite China's enterprises
and relevant economic organizations and to promote the development of China's
businesses and enterprises, assist them in implementing various needed reforms;
including marketing research, international cooperation in economics and
technology, the strengthening of China and the betterment of mankind.
The preceding objectives will be accomplished by independent academic study,
social research, professional exchanges between domestic and international
enterprises (including township enterprises), collection of capital, investment
consultation, training exchange of qualified personnel and enterprises, etc.

China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of
Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) was established in 1988. The task of
CCCME is to provide 'Coordination, Guidance, Consultation and Service'. CCCME
has always been devoting itself to the development of foreign trade of China's
machinery and electronic products. Working as a bridge and a link between the
government and enterprises, CCCME has played a very important role in
implementing the guidelines and policies of the government as well as helping
members report their problems and suggestions to the government. Therefore it
gains trust and support from both the government and its members.
Along with the further in-depth implementation of China's reform and open door
policy, especially since China's entry into World Trade Organization, CCCME has
been adhering to the principle of "Service is Uppermost" and made much progress
in coordinating its members in their trade deals and enhancing trade growth.
Therefore, CCCME has been well approved by its member companies and relevant
organizations. CCCME is representative of most of foreign trade companies as
well as manufacturers in the field of machinery & electronics industry.

The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (HK) is a
non-profit-making organization of local Chinese firms and businessmen. Founded
in 1900, it is one of the oldest and largest chambers of commerce in Hong Kong.
Members' businesses cover a wide spectrum of commercial and industrial
activities in the territory, including manufacturing, imports and exports,
banking, insurance, real estates, building and construction, information
technology, professional services, transport and communication, foods, retail
and wholesale, catering and tourism, etc.
Ever since its establishment, the Chamber aims at serving the community and
advancing with time. It provides the business community a forum for the exchange
of business information and an avenue for fostering regional and international
communication and promoting trade and commerce. The Chamber maintains close
contacts with trade associations and Chinese chambers all over the world, in
particular those in Mainland China. It has been playing an active role in
promoting external trade and attracting foreign investment in the Mainland. To
support China's open door policy, the Chamber has been organizing Training
Courses for senior officials and executives from the Mainland since 1982.

Kong Monetary Authority, Information Technology and Broadcasting Bureau, and
Education and Manpower Bureau. It is also represented on a number of boards and
committees of various public and private bodies, including the Hong Kong Trade
Development Council, the ICAC, the Hong Kong Food Council, the Hong Kong
Shippers' Council, as well as the Manpower Development Committee and the Labour
Advisory Board in the SAR government.
